The Tigers and Twins have gone back and forth over the past few weeks leading up to tonight's tiebreaker. Miguel Cabrera had a blood-alcohol level of .26, more than three times the legal limit, when he was involved in a physical altercation with his wife early Saturday morning. According to the Birmingham Police Rosangel Cabrera, called 911 at 6 a.m. Saturday, requesting police assistance. Both Miguel and his wife had scratches on their face when officers arrived. Cabrera, who was not charged, had allegedly spent the night partying with White Sox players and did not drive himself home.

Detroit short stop Ramon Santiago hits a two-run single to right-center field, giving the Tigers a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the second inning. If the Tigers beat Minnesota againd, they are the AL Central champs. If the Twins win, they live to fight for another game.

Rick Porcello came into the game with 10 wins and a 1.98 ERA in his past two starts. He had a strikeout and double play in the first inning before hitting Youkilis with the first pitch of the second inning.Youkilis charged Porcello, threw his batting helmet at him and tackled him.
